Metronome

Everything a musician needs

A precise metronome for practice and rehearsal. Free, with no ads.

Any meter, any accent

2/4 to 12/8, or set your own number of beats. Tap a beat to make it strong, medium, soft or silent, so 7/8 can be 2+2+3 or 3+2+2.

Subdivisions and swing

Hear eighths, triplets, sixteenths or a swing feel under the beat, each softer than the main click.

Speed trainer

Start slow and let it add a few BPM every few bars, up to your target tempo. The safest way to bring a hard passage up to speed.

Silent-bar practice

It plays two bars, then goes quiet for two. If you land together when it comes back, your inner pulse is steady.

How to use it

  1. Set the tempo

Drag the slider, press − / +, or tap the Tap button in time with the music you hear in your head.

  2. Choose meter and sound

Pick a meter, a subdivision and the sound that cuts through your instrument best.

  3. Watch from the corner of your eye

Turn on the full-screen flash: the screen lights up on every beat 1, so you can keep reading your music.
